Just starting to make a few plans for 2018. I’m going back to my old home town of Aldeburgh in Suffolk for our 50th anniversary school reunion in October, and the amazing (and totally out-of-place!) DP’s bar have agreed to put me on on Friday 5th.

Upton Blues Festival have given me a spot on the acoustic stage in July - great festival, and I’m so pleased to finally be a part of the booked line-up.

Nearly had a nasty shock on the guitar front; I noticed the trusty 1918 Gibson was buzzing really badly, and I thought the arched top had finally started to collapse. But Jim Macy had a good look, and said it was actually the neck bending backwards. He’s dressed a few of the frets (all 100 years old, so not much left to dress!) and it’s just fine again.

Bought a very interesting old (1900?) Harwood parlour guitar at the latest auction. Here’s a photo and a video clip (click on the picture);
